At RGV Christian Counseling, we currently accept the following insurance plans:

• Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas

• United Healthcare

We also offer private pay options and reduced fee slots for those without insurance coverage.

Important Note About Using Insurance:
When utilizing insurance, your clinician is required to assign a mental health diagnosis that will be recorded in your medical history. This diagnosis is based on your current symptoms and may differ from any previous diagnoses you’ve received.

Out-of-Network Benefits:
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide a “Superbill” (a detailed receipt for services) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

How Out-of-Network Benefits Work:

• You pay for services out of pocket.
• We provide a Superbill for you to file with your insurance.
• Your insurance provider will determine if you qualify for reimbursement.

Please note that we cannot guarantee reimbursement. It’s always best to contact your insurance provider for clarification regarding your out-of-network mental health coverage.

1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
2. Do I need a referral from my primary care provider for psychotherapy?
3. How many therapy sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
4. What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
